With Pick Up A Penny

Hoot are delighted be be involved with this exciting project to develop a mental health therapy centre for adults, children and their families. The project is in the early stages but the concept design is almost complete and the campaign to raise funds is gaining momentum.

The challenge with this project is develop a building and spaces that do not feel institutional or medical in anyway. The centre the building is a bright and airy cafe and reception space. The undulating ceiling projects out to create a covered seating area and access to the gardens. Directly off the central space is a 200 person conference space.

The therapy rooms are separated from the public areas in a separate wing. The rooms are access from an Y-shaped corridor which accommodated small seating area and there is always a views of the gardens. The therapy rooms are a designed with a mix of sizes to suit the differing user needs and group sizes.
