A small development site in the village of Cornforth, just south of Durham. The site is currently occupied by a vacant village hall and had planning approval for three properties including 1 house and 2 bungalows. Hoot were brought on board when the land was sold and the new owner wanted to maximise the development value, while still achieve a high quality design.
The site is severely impacted by mature trees on the adjoining land and overlooking from surrounding properties. The layout developed addresses this constraints and creates an attractive development of 4 detached new homes.
The development has been designed to complement and add to the existing homes in the street. The front property retains the generous street setback of neighbouring terrace, with the three other homes to the rear of the site.
